Cidreag (Hungarian Csedreg) is a village in Porumbești commune, Satu Mare county, Transylvania, Romania. A locality located 5 km from Halmeu. . Cidreag is a settlement from the Árpád era. His name was first mentioned in a certificate in 1215. . In 1319 it was written as Chudrug, in 1348 as Cedrek. In 1910, of the 728 inhabitants, 719 were Hungarians and 9 Germans. Of these, 75 were Roman Catholics, 562 Greek Catholics and 52 Israelites.
. In 2002, out of the 1,062 inhabitants, 632 were Hungarians, 419 Gypsies and 11 Romanians.
