Csaholc, village in Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg county.
Neighbors: Kölcse and Sonkád to the north, Túrricse to the east, Kisnameny to the south and Vámosoroszi to the west. Its administrative area is in contact with the border areas belonging to it in the northeast. Csaholc and its surroundings have been inhabited since ancient times, artifacts from the Late Bronze Age have been found in the area(sickle, bracelet, spear, axe, sword, bell ornament, bronze belt fragment). Already from 14-15. century, it was a significant village. His name was written as Chahowcz in 1418, Chaholcz in 1446 and Chahocz in 1462. The old landlords of the settlement were the Matuchsina family. In the 16th century, besides Báthory, Rozsályi Kúnok and Drágfiak were the owners of the settlement.
In the 17th century, it largely belonged to the Rozsály manor. In 1662, the county assembly was held in the reformed church of the village. At the beginning of the 20th century, it was owned by the Isaák and Vállyi families. Agriculture is still the main source of livelihood for the village population. Due to the infrastructure of the village, drinking water is installed in 80% of the apartments, gas supply in 52%, and sewage pipes in 43% of the apartments.
