Császló, village in Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg county.Császló este situat în colțul cel mai estic al Ungariei, pe câmpia Someșului.
Neighbors: Gacsály in the northeast, Csengersima in the south, Csegöld in the southwest, Jánkmajtis in the west and Kisnameny in the north-northwest. The settlement and its surroundings have been inhabited since ancient times, the remains of an earthen castle can be seen nearby. Based on archaeological findings, the monastery in the settlement existed before the Tatar invasion of 1241.
The name of the village was mentioned in one of the donation letters of King András II. Named Chaslo (1231). At the beginning of the 20th century, Baron Vécsey Aurél had a larger property here.In 1944, the advance of the Red Army interned several villagers from the Soviet Union.After the Second World War, several significant buildings in the village were destroyed, weredemolished, and the trees in the parks were cut down.
