Fülesd village in Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg county, Fehérgyarmat district. . In 1354, according to documents, it was a wasteland belonging to the Kölcsey family manor. In 1488, part of the Kölcsey family was sold to the Perény family. It has had several owners over the centuries. In 1642, the Kölcsey family received a new donation for all their estates.
In 1664, a county assembly was held in Fülesd, which in 1696 belonged to the Satu Mare line along with the entire Kölcse manor, but later the Kölcseys recovered it and it remained theirs. At the beginning of the 20th century, we know Gábor Kölcsey, Károly Inántsy, Lajos Tarpay and Béla Baka as the main owners. Throughout its history, Fülesde has been hit by natural disasters several times. At the turn of the century, in 1900, a devastating fire in the area also spread to the thatched houses of Fülesd.
During the fire the wooden belfry also burned, the church was saved only by knocking down the wooden shingles. Floods devastated it in 1936 and 2001, when the Túr Dam could not hold back the mass of water swollen by the Tisza.
