Our city, Satu Mare, is located in the northwestern part of Romania, on both banks of the Someș River. It was founded in the 11th century. At first, it developed as two separate settlements.

In 1230, both received the privilege of Free Royal City from the Hungarian king András II. The two cities were united in 1712. Our school was built in 1962. The gym was built between 1965 and 1968.In 1990, the school building was renovated. The well-kept park in front of the school is unique.
With all the tools and manpower at our disposal, we strive to ensure that our children receive the best education. Our results can be seen both nationally and internationally. Our students continue their studies in the best schools and universities. Currently, education is conducted in two languages: Romanian and Hungarian.There are 12,000 books in our library.In 2023, the Rákóczi Ferenc Secondary School was expanded with a new building equipped with a festive hall, an IT laboratory and a library.
