Szamosbecs village is located in Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg County. The settlement is located in the eastern part of Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg county, on the Someșului plain. Szamosbecs was already a commune at the beginning of the 14th century, according to certificates, it also had a priest. In 1424, his name was written as Beecz, and in 1470 as Beczh. At the end of the 14th century, it was owned by Drágh and Balk. In addition to the Drágfii family, the Gacsályi, Csató and Berzeviczy families also acquire part of the property here.
It belonged to the Satu Mare castle until the mid-17th century and was given to Zsigmond Prépostházy in 1663. From the beginning of the 18th century to the middle of the 19th century, it was the property of the family of Count Teleki and the family of Count Károlyi.The settlement suffered a lot from the Someș river floods. The settlement lives mainly from agriculture and apple production.
