Kishódos, village in Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg County.
It is the smallest settlement in the county and in the Northern Great Plain. The name of Kishodós first appeared in the Váradi Regestrum – in connection with a trial by fire; its name was already written in its current form in the 15th century.
Hodos was probably created in the former neighboring forest area along the river Túr in the 13th century. In the 15th century, Kis- and Nagyhódos were already two independent settlements: while the latter belonged to the Gacsályi family of the Gutkeled family, Kishódos belonged to the Drágffyas family. They probably also populated the village. In 1592, Mihály Károlyi received the entire estate. In the 1600s, it belonged to the royal chamber and belonged to the Satu Mare Castle.
